What an asset!
by Staff Reporter

The awards are a highly regarded benchmark in the industry and ASAM's success in 2010 adds to its already impressive record.

A canny team of local financial experts have been named the best in Scotland.

Alan Steel Asset Management was named the best Scottish investment independent financial advisor at a national award ceremony.  It also took the third spot in the UK awards.

The awards are a highly regarded benchmark in the industry and ASAM’s success in 2010 adds to its already impressive record.

Since 2004, ASAM has been named as the top UK investment IFA on two occasions, come second once and taken third place three times.  Another Scottish firm has never beaten ASAM in these awards.

Alan Steel, chairman at ASAM, said:  “This has been the toughest year in living memory for the financial services industry, so it’s particularly gratifying to be recognised for our unrelenting focus and consistency in doing our very best for clients.  We are also proud of the fact that we have been judged the leading Scottish Investment IFA over that period.”

ASAM gets 80 per cent of its new business from client referrals and Mr Steel believes that clients are attracted to it not only by the quality of its independent research and regular dialogue with advisers but also by its consistent access to top-flight international fund managers.

Mr Steel, said:  “Our focus has always been on providing the highest level of professional advice and service to our clients especially in difficult times and we believe that the investment scene is now slowly recovering from the past year.”
